Pacer
Stacktrain is Recognized as a
“Best of the Best” Intermodal Service
Provider
Third Year in a Row
Pacer Stacktrain is honored in 2006, for the third consecutive
year, with the Quest for Quality gold award from Logistics
Management magazine. Leading the Rail/Intermodal category, Pacer Stacktrain
ranked above all other double-stack carriers.
The Quest for Quality Awards program, now in its 23rd year, is
widely regarded in the transportation and logistics industry as
an important measure of customer satisfaction and performance excellence.
Logistics Management magazine considers recipients the “Best
of the Best,” and adds, “walking away with a Quest
for Quality gold is nothing short of a momentous achievement.”
Each year, Logistics Management and Reed Research Group (part
of LM's parent company) survey readers who are qualified buyers
of eight categories of transportation and logistics services. The
2006 Quest for Quality Awards are based on 6,300 responses. Survey
participants are asked to rate the service providers they currently
use on such attributes as on-time performance, information technology,
customer service, equipment and operations, and overall value.
Scores are weighted to reflect how much importance readers place
on each attribute, based on a five-point scale. The weighted scores
for each vendor in a category are then totaled, and the average
weighted score for that category is calculated.
The names of Quest for Quality winners are published each year
in the August issue of Logistics Management. The awards are formally
presented at a ceremony in the fall.
